For Earth Day 2024, SGBC tasked us with enhancing their Home Planner game to better educate homeowners on eco-friendly living. We transformed the restrictive gameplay into Go Green Home, an engaging, choice-driven experience that makes sustainability learning fun, personal, and impactful.
Unlike the original version, players now make realistic home decisions, seeing how their virtual home evolves based on their choices. Their actions influence three key areas: Go Smart (energy efficiency), Go Healthy (chemical impact), and Go Natural (resource use).
At the end of the game, players receive a green score and persona, along with personalised eco tips, encouraging reflection and community sharing through social media. By merging education with interactive storytelling, Go Green Home empowers homeowners to make greener choices, one decision at a time.
